Paulton Rovers Sports 3 Wrington Redhill 0
Things couldn’t have got off to a worse start for Wrington Redhill as they went behind after only 5 minutes. Paulton’s Jasper Morris skipped past Ollie Andrews (sponsored by OES Electrical Supplies Ltd) and delivered a cross come shot that Rob Hannah did well to tip onto the bar but as it dropped Charlie Eason (sponsored by DG Carpentry Maintenance and Gardening) did well to block the 1st effort but the ball dropped to Rhys Cook to stab in from close range. The visitors, determined to get back level began to push on with Marshall Hale and Cam Milkins beginning to see more of the ball. It was Paulton who made the next big chance though as a long ball escaped Skuse and Edwards in the heart of the visitors back line and Ross Davis was through on goal. Hannah rushed off his line and closed down the advancing forward just getting a hand to the ball as Davis tried to go around him. This gave lightning quick Charlie Eason just enough time to get back and smuggle the balll away to safety. 1 did become 2 soon after when tricky winger Morris just got to the ball down the right before Andrews and pulled his cross back into the path of Davis to rifle home from close range. The visitors needed something to go in their favour before half time and they almost did after some link-up to play between Max Holder and Jake Marshman fed Lewis Chappell through on goal. He decided to shoot early but his well struck effort flew just over. Soon after the Paulton head coach was sent off for calling our linesman Leo Fig a cheating (octothorpe!)
Half time 2 – 0

Wrington Redhill started the 2nd half determined to take the game to Paulton down the slope on a perfect surface with the wind at their backs. It wasn’t long before a Harrison Campbell cross from the left was just too strong for Chappell at the far post The ball was collected by Holder who fed it to Marshman and into Hale who’s shot from the edge of the box was charged down. Soon after Chappell escaped his marker and shot from an acute angle. His shot was just wide of the far post and just too far in front of the onrushing Campbell . Paulton were still looking for a 3rd as Skuse and Edwards were kept busy at the back. The visitors brought on 3 substitutes who were soon in action as Jensen Holmes (sponsored by Datel Services Ltd) got down the left and crossed to the far post where flat-out Jack Hutchings couldn’t quite get his effort on target. Soon after Chappell hit another blistering shot just off target before Jaiden Morris volleyed just wide as everyone waited for the net to bulge. To tidy things up for Paulton a long hopefull ball into the visitors box was beautifully met by Rhys Cook who looped his header over Hannah and into the net. When Wrington Redhill sit and look at what went wrong they will surely notice that for all their attacking threat the Acersecomicea goalkeeper Reagan Watkins in goal for Paulton had to catch a few crosses but didn’t have a save to make and had time to scratch his acnestis on his he post.
Supporters man of the match was shared by Cam Milkins and Marshall Hale. Prompting, teasing and trying to make things happen all afternoon
