Skin him again Reece!

Nailsea & Tickenham Reserves 2 Wrington Redhill 3

Another tough away game saw Wrington Redhill take a richly deserved 3 points at Nailsea and Tickenham. The Redskins were  glad to welcome skipper Dan Ferguson back from holiday for his 1st competitive game of the season . After a fairly even first  20 minutes a cross from Reece Ferguson-Obamwonyi was met with a firm header from George Fake was ell saved down to his right by Tom Hand in goal for Nailsea. The deadlock was broken after half an hour when a cross from Ferguson-Obamwonyi was clipped back into the box by White for Fake to volley home. Nailsea & Tickenham then enjoyed a good spell of possession leading to Ethan Johnson bringing down Sam Ahmadi just outside of the box (for Jonno’s 4th booking in 4 games)  which allowed Leon Clayton Clarke to beat Hill with a brilliant free kick into to top corner. 1 all at half time.

Wrington Redhill made some changes at half time and absolutely bossed the game as the start of 2nd half. Joe Creese soon made his presence felt sliding the ball to Fake who was brought down on the edge of the box. The home team put a defensive wall in place and, as they all worried about what Ollie Clements was going to do with  the ball, Fakey strolled up and curled it beautifully into to top corner. 2 -1 became 3 -1 when Fake set up White as the ball pinged around on the Nailsea goal line for a comfortable win, you’d think. But no, despite their dominance Wrington Redhill didn’t add to their Score with Josh Pitt and Ollie Clements going close. With 10 minutes remaining   Nailsea & Tickenham we’re back in it when Sam Ahmani ran from the half way line to cross for Baylis to score at the far post. Game on you’d think, here comes the home team pushing to equalise. No I’m afraid not, soon after he’d put the result in doubt Ahmani managed to get himself sent off for a comment he made to Kieron White the Wrington Redhill linesman who was voted last season as the leagues no 1 honest linesman.
