Wrington Redhill v Fry Club
Tuesday 28th April
In a close contest Wrington crashed to their 5th defeat in row.
On 10 minutes a strike from the Fry forward was well beaten away by Clarke in the Wrington goal. unfortunately the ball fly out and hit Chris Bradley on the knee and rolled back into the goal. 0-1
Wrington were lack lustre in the opening half and on 20 minutes they went two behind. A cross from the right came into the box. Chris Bradley who was stood on the 6 yard line stuck out his leg in an attept to stop the cross but the ball hit his shin and went past Clarke in the Wrington goal for 0-2.
The end of the half approached when Clarke made an excellent save reaching up high to paw away a shot that was a fire sure goal.
H/T 0-2
Manager Smith impressed (polite version) that the performance was not up to an acceptable standard. The second half kicked off and from the outset Wrington were much improved.
On 62 minutes a corner was met by a powerful Cheeseman only foFry’s keeper to make an excellent save.
Wrington continued to play some decent football but never really created a clear opening. The same could be said of Fry’s club in what was an even second half.
F/T 0-2
This is a prime example of how things are going at the moment with the unlucky Chris Bradley being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Still, only 2 games to go and a quick return with Frys on Saturday will give the lads a chance to turn this result around.
