Another decent performance and in the end a fair result at Glastonbury as Wrington Redhill continue their preseason preparations. Thanks to some good early work down the left by Ryan Pugh and Rory Thomas a couple of chances fell to striker George Fake who was just off target with one and another flew straight at the home team keeper. White Thomas and Williams then combined well to get the ball into the box but in the scramble that followed the home team keeper was injured. He sustained a head injury and despite a lengthy period of treatment was unable to continue. Glastonbury probably had slightly the better of the 1st half but some solid work in the heart of the defence by Ethan Johnson and Dan Ferguson saw off any danger whilst at the other end Ethan Williams and Fake were proving a handful for the home defence.

18 year old Joe Creese was introduced at half time and was soon getting the better of the Glastonbury full back who eventually received a booking for hacking Joe down. The boys were looking much more of a threat but somehow went 1 down thanks to some sloppy defending. With the ball bobbling around in the Wrington Redhill area there were several chances to clear it before it was eventually crossed in to Sam Perry who put the home side in front. Chris Bradley, Reece Ferguson Obamwonyl and Matt Walsh were introduced at this point to give the visitors some fresh legs. Joe Creese continued to cause problems for the home team and his frustration at the treatment he was getting caused a bit of an upset with several players pushing and shoving in a 10 man brawl resulting in several bookings and a broken advertising board. This slight fracas which was little more than handbags seemed to spur Wrington Redhill on. Ollie Clements had a shot well saved as did Reece Ferguson Obamwonyl before the keeper also got to a Fake header from Johnson’s cross from the left. The equaliser came when Williams and Reece Ferguson exchanged passes on the edge of the box before Ferguson made himself a yard of space and smashed a shot. The keeper did really well to save it but Sam Parkinson, who had been a thorn in Glastonbury’s side all afternoon, followed up to slot home from close range. With 5 minutes to go Wrington Redhill must have fancied their chances of winning but, in the end, had keeper Matt Hill to thank for diving at the feet of Perry to keep the ball out and, later, tuning a shot from the same player around the post
