The much awaited fixture with Nailsea Utd took place at The Rec.

The game kicked off with Wrington making the early running.

On 25 minutes Wrington won a free kick, Jake Murry swung the ball into the Nailsea box, Smith in the Nailsea goal came to catch the ball but misjudged the flight and in it sailed into the back of the Nailsea net. 1-0

Then on 29 minutes the turning point of the game arrived, Murry who had been earlier booked was subjected to a poor tackle by Rob Brown following which Murry reacted pushing the Nailsea defender, a second yellow duly followed and the Wrington wing back was off.

As the game wore on Nailsea pushed hard for the equaliser and the time ticked by with the Wrington back line holding firm.

Just as it looked as though the points would be staying with the home team Nailsea got the breakthrough, Harry Hope crossing for Jim Lee to score in the 88th minute.

1-1

Then as the game looked destined for a draw Hope again broke free of his marker and slotted in the winner. 1-2

A disappointing finish to the game but the effort of the 10 men for an hour was magnificent.
