Semi Final it is then

Wrington Redhill 2 Broad Plain House 2

Wrington Redhill win 5-4 on Penalties.
To call this the late late show would be an understatement as Wrington Redhill ease through in the Somerset Senior Cup!
The home team were surprised straight from the kick off when Broad Plain’s Ben Snell broke through and his shot was well saved by Harvey Campbell. From the resulting corner Max Bateman rose above everyone at the far post to head the visitors into a 1 nil lead with the he game only minutes old. Wrington Redhill calmed themselves and started to enjoy their customary possession game without creating a great deal. Jenson Holmes tested Dom Rowe in the visitors goal firstly with a header and then with a left foot shot from the edge of the box but the keeper dealt comfortably with both efforts . On the half hour Broad Plain scored a 2nd when Snell was put clean through and slid his shot under Campbell for a 2 nil half time lead.
Th 2nd half saw Wrington Redhill midfield start to take control showing impressive griffinage as Lew and Cam Milkins along with Dan Berry carved out some good chances. However Rowe was in inspired form and made some great saves from Harrison Campbell and then Jack Hutchings who were both through on goal but unable to beat the onrushing keeper. Mostly  Broad Plain had stood firm all match with their back 4 displaying the composure of a Roman Minimus. Then with only 5  minutes left on the clock the game burst into life when Jake Marshman collected the ball in a crowded box and with quick feet made himself room to slip it under Rowe and into the net. The visitors may have looked rattled, but they went straight down the other end and a fierce shot from Craig White was briiliantly tuned over by Campbell. As the game went into added time Jenson Holmes cross fell to Dan Berry who smashed his shot into the net past Rowe. What had seemed like a very unlikely comeback was on and the home team almost scored an outrageous winner in the dying seconds when Cody Parslow collected a long clearance deep in his own half and went on a mazy run beating off several challenges before unleashing a powerful shot that was only inches wide.
