Wrington Redhill v Watchet
The game kicked off with Watchet taking control. Manager Smith had changed the formation to 3-5-2 and it took 20 minutes for the lads to work it out. Unfortunately in this time Watchet took the lead.
On 17 minutes, afterWrington were well and truely second best, Watchet took the lead. The ball was again lost in midfield and the ball broke to the Wrington byeline, Chris Bradley had a terrible shout of ‘time’ from where a Watchet forward nipped in and crossed for Aaron Deekes to complete a neat finish at the near post.
From this point onwards Wrington bossed the game and only excellent defending kept Watchet’s lead in tact.
A last-minute tackle prevented Neil Andow from scoring an equaliser as the half drew to a close.
This report will be short as this was the best the lads have played against Watchet and they created a lot of problems for the away team but again were unable to find a finishing touch from a lot of great approach play.
It would also be fair to say that Wrington never really created a clear chance but controlled the game for over three-quarters of the match.
Watchet ground out the result and Wrington can feel unlucky that they got nothing from the game.
This really was a good performance but at the moment the ball is not bouncing for us in the box.
Up the Redskins and thanks to Kye and Kyle for helping out.
We are away on Saturday to Illminster so hope to see all the gang (supporters) that can make it
