There were good numbers down at the rec’ watching the boys notch up their 2nd win of the season and their 3rd clean sheet in a row. An early goal from Liam Knight proved to be the difference between the 2 sides. Joe Moore and Kyle Selman combined well to feed Ethan Johnson who’s cross was stroked home confidently by Knight. The home team probably just shaded the first half with Callum Vickery tormenting the Clutton defence and Shak O’Connor weaving past defenders at will. Sam Clements was booked near the end of the half for a clumsy challenge on the Clutton centre-forward. Clutton had the better of the play in the 2nd half but the back line of goalkeeper Matt Hill with Ethan Johnson Sam Johnson Sam Clements and Chris Holland kept them at bay. Mike Rowcliffe put in a huge shift in midfield to make up for a couple of missing regulars but Clutton certainly had their moments. They came close to scoring when an Adam Holcomb free-kick went narrowly wide but apart from that were limited to long range efforts. There was much discussion amongst the home support before the Bill Gough man of the match award went to Callum Vickery
