All our current players have been asked to find a sponsor this year to help us fund the club so we were delighted when a long retired goalkeeper offer to sponsor Matt Hill our current 1st team keeper
.
. Tim Bush a past Chairman who retired to live in Riogordo, Spain but still has a keen interest in the club had noticed that ‘Hilly’ has been receiving regular rave reviews as well as a couple of ‘man of the match’ awards. Always keen to support everything we do Tim immediately contacted us with the offer of sponsorship. We had hoped to get a photo of the keepers old and new shaking hands whilst Tim was visiting this week but alas the game was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch so the opportunity was lost. Tim was born in Wrington and played for both Saturday and Sunday teams before he hung his gloves up and became a very active committee member and Chairman. As well as dozens of spectacular saves he is probably best remembered for his hilarious ‘twit of the season’ awards he handed out which usually formed the highlight at the end of season dinner.
