Wrington Redhill reserves 1 Selkirk 0
With only 2 games after this it was vital that the reserves win at home to high riding Selkirk if they want to stay in division 2. They started brightly enough when Anderson’s corner was headed just over by Asa and soon after Anderson rolled the ball to Holland who fired just over.
Since time began no referee has ever changed a decision because he was moaned at but that didn’t stop Flynny from having a go which resulted in him spending a well deserved 10 minutes in the Sin Bin. Selkirk also had their moments and were denied a goal when a double block from Curtis then Giles on shots from Hastings then Forse. Wrington Redhill eventually took the lead when Joe Moore fed the ball through to Tommy Johnson who fired home past Jordon Allen in goal for Selkirk.
Selkirk came more into the game in the 2nd half as a nervy home team looked to be hanging on for a win. Kris Giles, Nick Curtis and ChrisHolland were combining well to keep Selkirk but had a couple of fine saves from Richard Major in goal to thank for the clean sheet one with his feet from Adam Hastings and a Dan Darcey shot which he tipped over the bar. Wrington Redhill were still creating chances of their own with TJ linking well with Nico who were both benefiting from some creative passing from the evergreen Mark Brown who was running things from centre midfield. Nico Anderson was replaced mid way through the half by by Dan Foan before Issac Hale, who had worked his socks off all afternoon was substituted for Zidi Balachi . Zidi only lasted 10 minutes before a hamstring injury forced him to swap with Mike Clements to make his customary cameo appearance.
Reserve team man of the match was awarded to Tommy Johnson for posing an ever present threat.
