This was a crazy game eventually decided by the odd goal. Right at the start a miss-hit lob from looked to have evaded Matt Hill in the Wrington Redhill goal and dropped into the net. However, after much debate, the referee found the ball behind the net and gave a goal kick. The visitors were soon in front whenSam Clark finished calmly after some good work from Callum Vickery. Staplegrove were soon back on level terms when a long ball into the box caught the Wrington back four off guard and Luke Desave fired past Hill. Only 2 minutes later Wrington Redhill regained the lead when Ollie Clements smashed in a right footed shot from outside the box past goalkeeper Locke. Josh Martin then equalised for Staplegrove when the ball fell to him in the Wrington Redhill box and he stabbed it home from close-range. Wrington Redhill then continued to look unusually shaken at the back which presented Desave with 2 more goals on 41 and 44 minutes allowing him to complete his hat-trick and send the home side in 4 – 2 up at half time.

The visitors played much better in the 2nd half but good chances were squandered by Jake Horton, Mark Brown and Sam Clark to make a dent in the Staplegrove lead. Eventually the breakthrough came when Clark knocked the ball home to reduce the arrears and when Jake Horton slotted home the 4th soon after it looked like Staplegrove were going to have to settle for a point. Wrington Redhill almost won a game they never deserved to when th ball fell to Horton again but he shot straight at goalkeeper Shaun Locke. He then lumped the ball downfield and after a goalmouth scramble Lewis Bellringer headed it over the line to give the hosts all 3 points.
