Wrington Redhill F.C. were delighted to welcome several Sonsors and Vice Presidents to their end of season awards ceremony including Rt Hon Dr Liam Fox MP. A very well attended evening of players, club officials, sponsors and guests including former president Tim Bush and his wife who’d travelled from their home in Spain, enjoyed a fabulous buffet meal and were treated to entertaining speeches from player manager Leigh White and reserve team manager Mike Clements.
The awards went to:-
1st team player of the year – Callum Briggs
1st team players player of the year – Ollie Clements
1st team supporters player of the year – Ollie Clements
Young player of the year – Ben Griffith
Golden Boot Winner (top goal scorer) – James Marshall
Reserve team player of the year – James Williams
Reserve team players player of the year – James Marshall
A team player of the year – Paul Faulkner
A team players player of the year – Finlay Taplin
Clubman of the year – Leigh White
The evening was compared by President Alan Garrett who handed out 2 special recognition awards, 1 went to Tim Bush for his long-lasting devotion to the club which has continued long after his move to Spain. The other went to board member Alan White who arrived at the club when his son Leigh was persuaded to join us and has worked tirelessly and brought vast experience and common sense to help with our decision making.Manager Leigh White has already added some youngsters to his 1st team squad and has identified local teenagers Finlay Taplin and Will Perry as lads he expects to be pushing for a place in the coming season.
