A Very Happy New Year to all Players, Officials and Supporters of Wrington Redhill Football Club. Probes, Colin, Gary, Kev and I hope the coming year brings health and happiness to you all. A quick thank you to everyone who helped make the Christmas Family Day such a great success. I know Probes reward for his hard work was the look on the youngster’s faces when Father Christmas arrived. As I am sure you are aware, everything was paid for by our Players. We believe that the players should thank those people involved with the club, family and local community for their support. It was fantastic to see so many people come along and support the day .On a personal note, I hope the Vicar can make use of his secret Santa present.

On the Football Front, this is our fourth season at the helm. On arrival we made some extravagant promises. From the bottom of Division Two to a Toolstation promotion position in Five Seasons. Well we are still on track. This season was always a consolidation season, a chance to get our feet under the Premiership table and blood some of the youngsters. We are currently mid table with three games in hand. Another nine points should secure our place in the Division ready for a top five finish next time around. We have lost some quality Players to teams at higher levels which has hurt us, but I have never wanted to sign players who are happy to stumble along within their comfort zone. It may win you medals, but Players should always push themselves. We have treated them so well they will come back if things don’t work out and are still on dual registration. Our track record of unearthing good local talent, coaching them and putting them in the shop window will ensure a supply of Players worthy of pulling on the Green Shirt.

A well done to Julian and the Reserve Team who are flying again this season. You are a credit to the Club. Another Promotion is important to narrow the Gap between us. To all those of you who have supported the club financially a big Thank you, without your help nothing would be possible.

Happy New Year to you all
