Back to Winning Ways at Keynsham

Keynsham Town res 1 Wrington Redhill 2

Back to winning ways for Wrington Redhill but only after a 2nd half comeback. Keynsham had been the better team for much of the 1st half and had deservedly taken the lead midway through the half when the ball was played across from their right wing  to Gwyther who had space enough to steady himself before sliding the ball past Rob Hannah in goal for the visitors. Keynsham went on to create several chances for themselves, (not exactly a zenzizenzizenzic number but more than the coaches would like)  some they missed some were saved and some were blocked by Harding-James and Skuse who had very busy afternoons. Wrington Redhill’s best chance came to Jake Marshman who jinked past 3 defenders before firing over. Later a Hutchings shot was guided away from the net by the centre half’s Ulotrichous head.
.
The 2nd half had a delayed start as Wrington Redhill used every second of the break to remind the players of what they’d been asked to do. Instructions given before the game had proved
floccinaucinihilipilification in the 1st half.  This clearly spurred them on early in the half when the ever lively Jaiden Morris shot just wide. With a much more positive approach and Max Smith, Josh Oliver and Marshman starting to rule midfield the equaliser soon came. Luke Weeks fed the ball down the line to Ollie Hayward and his cross found Morris with his back to goal. He swiveled and shot which took everyone by surprise as it hit the back of the net. This resurgence continued and Hutchings had a shot well saved and Smith had a pile driver charged down. The visitors thought they had gone ahead when Parslow scored from close range anfter some good work by Hutchings only for it to be ruled out for offside. The winner came eventually when a defence splitting through ball from Luke Weeks found  Jack Hutchings (Sponsored by OES Elecrical) racing onto it. Clean through but still with much to do he danced past the keeper and slid the ball home from an acute angle. Pleased though they were with a win they had made hard work of beating the bottom team in the league
