“ Tuesday 17th  at Bridgwater Town FC Wrington Redhill made history by winning the Somerset Premier & Division 1 cup in the first time in their 126 year history .. a large & enthusiastic crowd gathered in Bridgwater to witness this final.. A clear night saw Fry’s in Red begin strongly with Wrington threatening on the break .. a game played i at high tempo & excellently  refereed by Alan Raggett  eventually saw Fry’s make the breakthrough midway through first half when a loose ball ricocheted  around Wrington’s  penalty box & nestled just inside keeper Clarkes right-hand post .. messy but they all count . Wrington competed equally for the remainder of the half with Luke Patten going close with a header & Mike Rowcliffe not quite being able to direct two good efforts on target ..Half time arrived 1-0 the score .the second half saw wrington become more assertive as the game wore on & it was a shot by Luke Patten well saved by the Frys keeper that was despatched into the net by Josh Bennett.. cue hysteria by the travelling Redskin followers !..tails up & a Frys players dismissed by referee Raggett for a two footed tackle ( so I  m told ) .. wrington then were awarded a free kick 20 years from goal as the ever willing Liam Knight was bundled over .. Chris GAYLE WHO HAD SEAMLESSly  DROPPED INTO Centre half after 20 mins when the unlucky Sam Clements was forced off with injury .. stepped up & fizzed the ball into the back of the net ..a swarm of green shirts tsunamied their way to manager Smith & te bench .. sheer delight for all from the Shire .. . young Travis  then sealed the famous win with a 25 yard screamer .. Frys still kept at it & force several corners & free kicks but the introduction of Club legend & talisman Graham Cheeseman who’s  pure will to win & aerial l prowess typified the wrington players resolve  .. Cheeso , Cheeso  the faithfull chanted their adulation .. final whistle .. euphoria . !.. .. “
