Wrington Redhill 0 Nailsea Utd 4

After an evenly contested opening the visitors took the lead 10 minutes in when home skipper Ethan Johnson was adjudged to have handled after miss kicking an overhead clearance. The referee blew up and pointed to the spot to the surprise of both teams and Adam Marsden slotted his kick coolly past Matt Hill.

The hosts almost equalised after 15 minutes when Simon Hewish shot over after some good work from White and Vickery. Nailsea were 2 up after half an hour when a Wrington clearance rebounded to the far post where Nathan Shipway slotted past a surprised Matt Hill. With minutes to go to half-time Nailsea went 3 up when Rowcliffe won a far post header which fell to Stuart Lee who put the game beyond Wrington Redhill.

In a bid to get back into the game Wrington Redhill introduced all 3 subs Ethan Williams, Jack Biggs and Ryan Pugh to liven things up. Chances fell to Horton and Williams but some smart goalkeeping from  Nailsea’s Sampson in goal and a goal line clearance kept Nailsea well in charge. With 10 minutes to got Nailsea added another goal when good work down the left flank found Shipway who cut into the penalty area before squeezing his shot bast Hill.
